Learn a language, and you can ask for directions on your overseas vacation, tell your partner that you love them - in French, or read a menu at an Italian restaurant. Perhaps you could even learn Esperanto.

The Learn a Language Free site is here to help you learn the language of your choice, and to do it for FREE (or as close to free as possible). Of course free can mean lower quality, but we have searched the web, and used our own experiences to find the best quality language learning tools possible. Sometimes you may need to pay a small price for a quality product, but where possible, we will show you how to keep the cost right down to zero.

Learning a foreign language can be fun, but it can also be frustrating! It takes time, and effort, and as you become more proficient, it may take some money as well....but until then, there are plenty of FREE resources

Once you have learnt the basics, you may need to get commercial language teaching products, but by then you will know if you REALLY want to spend the time (and maybe money) to become proficient.   ...BUT, even the free resources can be of a high enough quality that you can completely stay away from paying for the information you need to become proficient in a 2nd, or 3rd or 4th language.

You can also then use Search Engines that are in the language you are learning. For example Google is available in about 120 different languages - to see the list, go here. This page also has a translation tool and can even translate complete web pages for you to a variety of languages

You will never be asked to pay to access this site, and I hope you will find it to be the BEST resource for learning a langauge for free on the net today. (It may not be the best looking site YET, but I am working on learning that other language - HTML, as well, so it will improve :)
